THE PROJECT
The design and construction of a care home consisting of three new blocks. The south, central and north blocks, are all set at varied levels on a tiered elevation. The north block is a four storey building and houses residents suffering from dementia, the central block is a two storey building with residents who need medium care, and the south block is a three-storey building containing masoinettes, for residents who are more independent.
Construction of the south and central buildings includes concrete piles with RC slab. The north block is RC block, no piles and reinforced concrete from ground to first floor and from there the rest of the structure is steel frame with SFS brick work cladding. The roof is a mixture in terms of the finishes, they are flat roofs dressed with a pitched roof.
A high end specification project boasting a pub, a salon and a cinema room, facilities include a full specification kitchen and laundry room. At the base of the north block a car park has been built to accommodate staff and visitors.
" We are also delighted to have partnered once more with Beard, who have meticulously supported us to realise our aspirations for excellence in this project. "

Early completion for show home
On the south block the customer would be using one of the rooms as a show area and sales room. It was essential that these areas were completed early ready for potential clients to visit.
Entrance road
A new purpose built entrance road has been specially built next to the care home. The road is steep and tight over some areas, in particular one side is near property leaving little room for access. We ensured residents were continually updated with developments and noise was kept to a minimum.
