Our commitments
- In addition to our five chosen Charities of the Year, we are proud to support
many more initiatives that strengthen communities. These are often nominated
by our colleagues, customers or supply chain partners. - We encourage and enable our people to volunteer their skills and time to local
community organisations and charities. - We will maximise our spend with Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME)
and Voluntary, Charitable & Social Enterprises (VCSE).
Our Approach
The Beard Charitable Foundation, set up by the Beard family, plays a significant role in our commitment to local communities.
Working with Oxfordshire Community Foundation, awards are made to initiatives which advance construction industry education, provide opportunities for young or disadvantaged people, or lend support to the charitable work of our colleagues.
MSMEs and VCSEs contribute significantly to local economies - unlocking growth, jobs, and productivity.
We will continue to champion these businesses through our regional supply chains, enabling them to invest in skills and innovation as well as driving their shift to sustainability by providing support, awareness and resources.
