Our social value vision is simple – 

create a better tomorrow for people and planet

Beard was founded on a simple idea – to build ambitious spaces. Not only physical space, but places for people and communities to grow and thrive, and where the environment can flourish.

Through our work, we recognise that we have a role to play in helping address the social and environmental inequalities affecting the communities where we operate. We know it matters to our customers, our people and our valued supply chain partners.

We have defined and formalised our approach to social value, solidifying our commitment to making a positive impact through our work.

The Public Services (Social Value) Act marked a significant shift by requiring public contracts to be evaluated not only on cost but on the wider value they have the potential to bring, whether through job creation, economic growth, improved wellbeing, or fostering equal opportunities across UK communities.

We are proud of the commitments we have made and see them as a foundation on which to build, to ensure we deliver the greatest value for our customers and the communities where we live and work.
